Baile Folklorico

You would tell me I was crazy if I told you it was possible to travel to the cities of Silao and Romita from the state of Guanajuato in Mexico by simply driving 30 minutes outside of the city of Atlanta. Luckily, on the Day of Our Lady of Guadelupe, you can vicariously travel to Silao through the dancing of El Baile del Torrito (The Dance of the Bull). This is one of several Mexican folkloric dances that are being taught in Georgia by Adrianna Murillo. Additionally, Murillo works alongside the Teotl Foundation, Inc. which promotes Mexican culture in the United States.
